Australasia EMed is a not-for-profit group of specialist Emergency Physicians from Australia, teaching Emergency Medicine principles and practice in other countries.

In the Asia Pacific region Australia is perhaps the most advanced country in the development of Emergency Medicine. A registered specialty college since 1984 in Australia and New Zealand, the ACEM is one of the oldest Emergency Medicine training organisations in the world.

Note: Australasia EMed is not affiliated with the ACEM

Why Australasian Emergency Medicine?

What are AusEMed  courses like?

Aiming our teaching at young doctors using adult learning principles, our Courses are also suitable for advanced emergency nurses and for paramedics.

Our programme consists of lectures, interactive sessions, and practical workshops.

They are intensive of materials, and demonstrate what is best in Emergency Medicine at present.

In a full day of teaching it is not possible to concentrate entirely on lectures, so our courses are mainly interactive group sessions and practical “hands on” material.

There is plenty of time for informal discussion in breaks and over meals.
